2009: Wishing you and your family & friends many blessings for this winter holiday!

Going a bit on the wild side, I wrote a poem that was WAY out of my comfort zone. Seeing myself grow as a poet each day amazes me with the kind of potential I do have. I won't say that I'm the best poet in the world or the best even in this tech age, but if ATG finds my work publishable, then I have truly gotten stronger in my writing. The hard work really paid off. It's time to celebrate!

Your Body is a Much Wilder Land

A silent thud touches the ground
and a burst of leaves and birds
shoots in the air

like an Old Geyser.
Your spine trembles in the wind,
each vertebrae holds a bruise,
a scrape, a broken limb--
